At Coeur, we invest in our local communities. We support and partner with local organizations to help strengthen and sustain the communities in which we operate.
Coeur Wharf and Coeur Alaska, Kensington Mine both choose to support their local United Way chapters through annual pledge campaigns. These campaigns are driven by employee participation and directly benefit their local communities.
On November 15, 2018, Mark Kiessling, General Manager of Coeur Alaska Kensington Mine, presented a check for $26,474.78 to Warren Russell, Chair of the United Way of Southeast Alaska Board. This amount represents the pledged amount for the 2017 annual campaign of $21,474.78 from 56 employees of Coeur Alaska Kensington Mine and a matching corporate gift of $5,000 from Coeur Alaska, Kensington Mine.
At the check-presentation during the Juneau Chamber Luncheon Kiessling noted that, “small contributions in large volumes from a number of people can make a huge difference in our community.”
Representatives from Coeur Wharf also presented a check to their local United Way chapter on November 15, 2018. The check was for $7,155 and is for the 2019 United Way of the Black Hills pledge campaign.
